Meet the artist

Christopher sweet

Ho-Chunk/White Earth Ojibwe Artist

“As an artist, I create through the lens of my experience and my paintings encapsulate my thoughts, feelings and values. Deeply influenced by traditional indigenous ways of life both past and present, I draw inspiration from cultural aspects like storytelling, song, dance, regalia, community, & spiritual connectedness.

A true introvert, art is a primary way for me to express myself & my artworks are an extension of me. Part of my creative process is to set intentions of healing and unity so that as I put paint to canvas those intentions will become part of my creation”.
