Surprise Madison Public Market Preview Pop-Ups Begin June 10!

The Madison Public Market is pleased to invite the entire community to a series of just announced Public Market Preview Pop-ups beginning Wednesday, June 10th.

 

This initial pop-up market preview series will be Wednesdays, 3:30-7:00 June 10-July 1 at the Madison Public Market, 202 N. First Street.

Vendors at these MPM Preview Pop-up Markets will include local farmers, food producers and select other makers including many local favorites. These events also mark the creation of a fresh, updated vendor interest database.

Harry whitehorse international wood sculpture festival

Experience creativity in action at the Harry Whitehorse International Wood Sculpture Festival, a free, week-long outdoor artist residency on the shores of Lake Monona in Monona, Wisconsin. In partnership with the Friends of San Damiano, the festival brings together world-class sculptors to craft large-scale works on site while engaging with visitors throughout the week. Enjoy live sculpting, hands-on cultural experiences, an artisan marketplace, live entertainment, and a vibrant lineup of global food vendors.

Indigenous Culture Celebration

Schumacher farm park - waunakee
Saturday July 11, 2026 | 2-5 pm

Join us this summer for our annual Indigenous Culture Celebration! This collaborative event brings Little Eagle Arts Foundation (LEAF) and the Wisconsin Dells Singers to the park, offering a unique opportunity to engage with local tribal traditions through hands-on activities, live performances, and a special traveling exhibit. We'll also have self-guided exploration of traditional Ho-Chunk plants in the prairie. 

This event is FREE and family friendly! Rain or shine, with indoor/tented options as needed. Guests are welcome to bring their own snacks as well as blankets or chairs. Come celebrate, learn, and connect with the rich traditions of the Ho-Chunk people!

Native Art Marketplace 

Hillside school at the taliesin
august 1-2, 2026 | 10 am - 4 pm

Join us for a celebration of the art and culture of Wisconsin’s First People, as part of an ongoing partnership between Little Eagle Arts Foundation (LEAF) of Wisconsin Dells and Taliesin Preservation.

The Native Art Marketplace, on August 1st and 2nd from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM, will fill the iconic Hillside School at Taliesin with LEAF roster artists who will demonstrate and describe their creative process with a wide range of both traditional and contemporary artforms including paintings, jewelry, black ash baskets, sculpture, and quill and beadwork. An abundance of Native Arts and crafts will also be for sale.

Performances and storytelling, which highlight the traditions of Wisconsin’s First People, will be on display throughout the day in the historic Hillside Theater.

Registration for this event is by car. Due to parking constraints, pre-registration is required for guaranteed admission. We highly recommend that guests carpool. We are not able to guarantee admission to those who have not pre-registered.
